Home Up Enviro History

In 1998 Nelson Construction created our new division Nelson Construction Environmental and has made a committed expansion into the environmental arena. Our past experiences and development in mining, reclamation and cleanup projects seemed to make this step a good fit. In January of this year Nelson Construction hired Geologist and experienced miner Pete Parsley. Pete brings to the company his vast experience and knowledge of geology as well as Environment Impact Studies (EIS/NEPA), mining procedures and reclamation practices. Pete’s past activities include employment with USMX, Inc., Tenneco Minerals Co., Echo Bay Mines and Newmont Mining Corp.

Nelson Construction offers cost effective construction management and environmental remediation services with an emphasis on the client’s perspective. We also have extensive experience in the mining sector with respect to project management and reclamation. Aspects that set us apart from other construction and environmental companies include:

Versatile and apposite equipment for heavy construction and remediation needs in remote environments. Our heavy equipment is designed and targeted for difficult conditions where lighter duty highway gear is unsuitable.

Nelson Construction Environmental offers camp support for remote projects where regular housing and cooking arrangements are not available. Camp support includes bunk trailers and an experienced cooking staff familiar with duties and responsibilities associated with camp environments.

The management team of Nelson Construction Environmental has extensive mining and operational experience for projects in Idaho, Nevada, Alaska, Utah, Oregon, and Colorado. Our experience includes all aspects of permitting required by state and federal agencies.

Nelson Construction Environmental values its working relationships with local, state, and federal leaders. We cultivate a positive and constructive environment between our clients and the agencies charged with the administrative duties of quality control and compliance.
